South Simcoe Judging Club

This club has completed the 2022 season.

Members judging cupcakes

We will learn how to read and understand judging standards. We will judge livestock, poultry, crops, baked goods and other items. We will learn how to create and give reasons for our placements. We will discuss cuts and how cuts are created for the class. All members will participate in an achievement day judging competition.

First meeting: April 12th carrots and apples

Second meeting: May 17th dairy cattle, hay and apples

Third meeting: June 7th flowers, saddles, lunches, chocolate

Fourth meeting: July 9th-17th virtual region 3 & 4

Fifth meeting: August 18th

Age Range:9 - 21 years of age as of December 31, 2021. Member must have paid membership fee, completed all required forms, attend a minimum of 2/3 hours of meeting time as well participate in the achievement day program to complete this club which will be a judging competition. You will need technology and internet connection. We will meet on Wednesday evenings for 6 meetings approximately every 3 weeks. We will start meeting on line and move to in person once this can be done safely.
