South Simcoe Cooking Club

Club has completed the 2022 season. This club is looking for more leaders for the next project.

Member with baked cinnamon buns

Members learned how to prepare and cook different proteins and side dishes. Meetings were on Saturday mornings starting at 10:00 a.m. Members created lunches for their family using commonly found ingredients. Members learned to cook and bake in their own kitchen with online instruction. Members used a variety of food items, microwave, stove, oven and a variety of kitchen utensils such as knives, bowls, cutting board, measuring spoons and cups.

Age Range:9-21 years of age as of December 31,2021. Member will have to have paid their membership fees, completed all required forms, participate in 2/3 of all meetings and participate in the club achievement day program. You will need technology and access to internet connection. Junior members will require adult supervision. You will need to purchase your own ingredients for the recipes. You will need access to a variety of food items, microwave, stove top, oven and a variety of kitchen utensils (e.g., knives, bowls, cutting board, measuring cups and spoons etc.) Club will meet on line starting early spring once every two weeks on Saturday.
