Members of this club will plan, prep and grow their own garden of choice; container gardens, rock gardens, vegetable and or flower gardens right from home. Members will learn the ins and outs of growing a garden, keeping a garden journal and preparing their plants, flowers, vegetables or flower arrangements for showing and judging on their achievement day. Participants will engage in garden based crafts and projects, games and enjoy guest speakers who will help us grow in learning right along side our gardens. Come join the South Simcoe Garden Club and green up your thumb! Please reserve these dates for meetings May 5th, June 2nd, July 7th, August 4th and September 1st. Achievement Day will be September 18th -20th

Age Range:9-21 years of age as of December 31, 2020. Members will need to have paid their membership fee, complete all required forms, participate in a minimum of 2/3 hours of meeting time, participate in the County Judging Competition and participate in the club Achievement day program. You will need technology and internet connection. This club will meet once a month starting online and moving to in person once able to do this safely. No previous experience required. Members will need a notebook, a place to grow indoor and out door plants and access to garden tools such as a trowel, spade, clippers and weeder.
