Members in this club learned about the sweetest liquid produced in Canada every spring! Maple Syrup production is an important part of Canada’s history and how the process of making maple syrup has changed over the centuries. We learned how to identify the best trees to tap, different methods of tapping trees, how to turn sap into syrup and the many tools and rules associated with making delicious Ontario maple syrup. We learned how to use maple syrup in some sweet recipes! There was an achievement day were members shared how they produced maple syrup or baked with maple syrup.
