Dancing is said to be older than written language, and was used as a way for ancient peoples to pass stories down to the next generation.

Join us as we learn about different types of dance, dance in different cultures, choreography, composition and improvisation. Then, of course, we’ll get on our feet and put everything we learned in action!

In this project, you’ll:

  • Learn about the history of performance around the world
  • Try several different types of dance, like modern, hip hop, ballet and jazz
  • Learn the basics of choreography and try it yourself
  • Learn about rhythm, free styling and how to control your body
