2019 Norfolk 4-H Judging Night

 Date:        Friday, June 14th 

Location:  Sonnyside Flowers Warehouse

Address:  776 Fernlea Road, off HWY 3, between Delhi and Courtland.  Enter through the small door to the left of the loading ramp.

 Time:        Registration starts at 6:00 p.m.  Judging starts at 6:30 p.m.


Rules for ALL 4-H and Cloverbud Members:

Write your name and year of birth on all score cards and the quiz. 

Keep all scorecards stapled together. 

Put your scorecards back in the envelope.

Hand your scorecards in with the ID and trivia quiz.  

 A. For 4-H Members, judging consists of the following:

You will be required to judge four similar items at six different judging “stations” using the criteria provided at each station.  At three stations, you are only required to write the placing of the items on the score card, but at the other three stations, you will have to give your reasons orally to a judge.  There is also a separate quiz (ID and Trivia) that you have to complete as part of judging. 


1.  The categories being judged are (categories requiring oral reasons are in red):

·       Healthy Lunch

·       Hammers

·       Broom used for cleaning barn floor

·       Running Shoes

·       Sunglasses

·       Dolls


2. The I.D. Quiz will be mother animals and their babies.  Trivia questions are about Norfolk County, 4-H Ontario, Norfolk County Foods, Canada and Animals.


B.  For Cloverbuds, judging consists of the following:   

Please see your leaders who will be in a separate area for you to judge four categories. You will be judging Asparagus, Ducks, Rabbits and Harmonica.  You will also be completing the I.D. Quiz and a shorter version of the trivia quiz
