COVID-19 UPDATE, REVISION TO IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES – SEPTEMBER 21, 2020

(Posted September 21, 2020)

COVID-19 UPDATE, REVISION TO IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES – SEPTEMBER 21, 2020

At this time all in-person events and activities must follow the provincial guidelines of 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.

This will affect all 4-H in-person activities including:

  • Club Meetings
  • Achievement Programs
  • Association Meetings
  • Awards Banquets

4-H Ontario reminds everyone that:

  • 4-H volunteers looking to host events will need to comply
  • 4-H volunteers who are found to be in violation of these social gathering limits will be responsible for any fines implemented.
  • Attendance and participation at these events will not factor into project completion. 4-H participants- fellow volunteers, 4-H youth and families must be given the opportunity to decline attending.

Some ways to adapt your planned in person event:

  • Break the group into smaller groups and host several smaller versions of the same event (cohorts)
  • Host a drive through version of your event
  • Postpone or host a virtual event

Please follow us on social media and check the website for updates as this situation is once again evolving rapidly. We thank all our volunteers for their ongoing commitment to the safety of our 4-H’ers.
