The first meeting was held on April 16th at the Farquharson farm. We started the meeting off by reciting the 4-H pledge and continuing on by discussing and handing in our project indentification forms. Next we went into the business part of the meeting which started with everyone introducing themselves. Laurie then discussed the importance of elections. The floor was then open to nominations resulting in Stuart May as president, Robert May as vice-president, Sam Farquharson as secretary, and Krissy Robinson as news reporter. We discussed the location and dates of our upcoming meetings. We gathered into groups and chose topics for our presentations on the Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Beef Cattle. We then judged a class of eggs with Herb giving the officials and discussing why each set of eggs was placed in that particular spot. We wrapped up the meeting by discussing pre-show and Melbourne fair. The meeting was then adjourned and we enjoyed beverages and cake.

The second meeting was held on April 28 at the May farm. We started the meeting by judging a class of breeding ews. Stuart May gave the officials after discussing what to look for when judging. The business part of the meeting began with the 4-H pledge. Anyone who had not attended the previous meeting handed in their project identification forms. Sara Verboom, Robert May, and Rachel McLean then gave their presentation on Animal Husbandry. We moved into the old business part of the meeting by discussing pre-show and Melbourne Fair specifics. The meeting was then adjourned and everyone enjoyed drinks and homemade cookies.
