Ok, 14 girls is too many in one sewing club. Everyone learnt about buying fabric and showed their individual creativity and style while selecting the material for their club project. All members completed their Bodacious Bags by doing some long-arm machine quilting, machine sewing and hand stitching.

10 members also attended the bus trip and had a great time at the CreativFestival in Toronto. While at the Festival we had a photo-opportunity with Editor-in-Chief of the nationally published Needle Pulling Thread magazine, Carla Canonico. Needle Pulling Thread has sponsored an award for Frontenac 4-H Members since 2010 with the Award being given to a LifeSkills member who shows a dedication to needle arts. At the Festival we also met with members of the Embroidery Association of Canada who is sponsoring a needle-arts club for 2012 by providing the supplies and instruction sets for the club members. Many members also developed a new interest in jewellery making.
