Thursday, August 13, 2015 was the York Plowing clubs third meeting of the year. The meeting was held at the Bolender’s Farm. The Meeting was opened at 6:30pm with the 4-H pledge. Leader Christine explained that we were going to learn how to perform a finish and do some more plowing. Once everyone got started plowing we stopped for a minute and Ken explained what a finish is and how to perform one. Once we were showed how to perform a finish, Ken explained that you perform a finish when you have finished plowing and to mark that you have a finished plot. He also said that a proper finish only has one tire mark. After that all the members went back to plowing and some members tried to perform a finish. After that it was snack time. Then we closed the meeting at 9:00pm.
