On July 5th the west luther vet club went to a small animal clinic at the university of guelph and we had a veterinarian tour us around the facility. The vet showed us where the keep the different kinds of animals that are brought into the clinic. There is a dog day care area where the dogs stay and interact with other dogs and the people who work at the clinic, there is also a swimming pool, and a room where the animals that have been hurt go through pysio therapy. The vet also showed the where the medicine is stored and the room where the the different operations are performed and she talked about the different procedures that that they do to take care of the animals. After that, we went to the large animals part of the clinic and we got to see where they do the operations on large animals like horses. We ended the meeting with the 4-H motto and pledge, and then had a snack.
