BRANT 4-H Community Involvement – First Responder Club

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT – First Responder     – in person

Have you ever thought about a career or what is involved to be an OPP officer, Firefighter or a Paramedic? Meeting in their work environment, throughout the County, we will attempt to show some of the elements of training to become a First Responder. We will meet at 4 of the County volunteer Fire Stations to discuss and introduce members to aspects of Fire Fighting that are not common knowledge, along with a meeting at the OPP Station in Paris and an exciting session with the Brant County Paramedics (EMS). Members will begin to see many topics/requirements/knowledge overlap to all First Responders, such as communication as just one example. Your knowledge gained will culminate into part 1 of the achievement – Career Night!

This club is led by Brant 4-H leaders/volunteers who are either retired or current Brant County Volunteer Firefighters.
