Brigden 4-H Lifeskills – Best of the Bakery

Club Project

Participants are in for a treat as they explore the world of baked goods! Club members will learn to read recipes, measure ingredients accurately, and explore a variety of recipes to produce an array of baked goods, such as breads, cakes, cookies, pies.

Additional Cost

We are hoping to have all costs covered for this club, but if something extra comes up we will contact the parents ahead of time.

Meeting Locations

Meetings will be held at the Brigden Fairgrounds.

Meeting Details

Most meetings will be 3 hours long to allow for all recipe prep, baking and clean up. We plan to have 4 – 5 meetings to ensure we have 12 hours of meeting time.

Meeting Dates

Meetings are planned for Wednesday evenings on May 24 & 31 and June 14 & 21. Meetings will run from approximately 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

Club Achievement

We hope to host a Bake Sale for our Achievement program to raise funds to cover the cost of our recipe ingredients. More details to follow.

Best of the Bakery Project

Baking has come a long way since early humans mashed up wild grain with water and cooked the resulting paste on a hot rock. But no rock paste here, just the latest techniques for delicious baked goods.
