The Chatham-Kent 4-H Bike Club runs over a 6 week window early spring in April and May (evenings and weekends). The club has covered many topics/guest speakers for learning about bike and road safety, bike maintenance, mountain biking and long distance riding – along the way with those concepts, the bike club completes a ride each meeting along various trails around Chatham-Kent. Past rides include Rondeau Provincial Park, Caso Trail, Paxton’s Bush/Kingston Park, TREES trail and many more. The goal is to get out on our bike’s and ride on trails around Chatham-Kent and area, be active and raise awareness of the potential dangers encountered while bike riding; the ride of silence concludes the club as the achievement event.
