KLH LEARN TO QUILT 4-H CLUB
If you are interested in learning the basic skills of making a quilt, let us know. We will cover basic quilting skills such as sewing with straight lines, how to use a rotary cutter and ruler, and matching seams. Everyone will create their own “Disappearing 9 Patch” quilt during the meetings. This club will be located in Lindsay and held in a workshop style as to let the members complete as much sewing as possible during the meetings. Each member will need to bring a sewing machine to the meetings. The club will start on Sat Jan 25th @ 2-4pm (location TBA) with more meetings being held from 10am-3pm tentatively on Feb 15, Mar 15 and Mar 29 (or Apr 12). For more information and to register by Jan 20th, call Diane Armstrong 705-741-8739 or Melissa Latter 705-768-4027. Fabric donations welcome.
Quilting Project
Experts say the art of quilting is over 5,000 years old. This time-honoured tradition still flourishes today and is one of the best ways to show skill, creativity and planning all at once.
