Norfolk Grow your own – Veggie garden & Food Preservation club

Club description: Learning how to start a veggie garden from scratch, starting with seed and soil, and watching it grow into food you can eat! We will also be learning how to can what we grow! This is a dual credit club!  

 

Meeting information: The 3rd  Thursday of the month Nights from 6:00-8:00pm, April – September Vivian’s House Port Rowan   

Saturday meetings  first Saturday of the month May, June, September & October times TBA at Rikkis Simcoe 

 

Achievement:  Veggies & canning Entered in Norfolk County Fair and Judging Day June 6th 

 

Reminders:  

Writing utensil, water bottle, blanket/lawn chair 

 

Meetings are held outside so please be dressed for the weather. If there’s inclement weather I will call every one the day of the meeting to cancel and will reschedule the meeting.  

Canning Club is held in an industrial kitchen, bring an apron, wear comfy shoes and bring a snack.
