Oxford Sewing: Small Projects 4-H Project

Sewing: Small Projects – Learn all about how your sewing machine handles different fabrics, sewing terms, simple techniques and machine basic care.  A small project will be sewn each meeting.  Want to learn to sew?  This is the project for you!

Starting Tuesday, February 11/2025 with meetings 6:30-8:30 in Tavistock.  Meetings will be postponed when necessary due to weather, so the project may extend into April.

Sewing machines will be needed each meeting, sewing equipment as well.

Some of the things members might be making:   zippered pouches, fabric boxes, bowl cozies, fleece hats and mitts, pillowcases, stuffed toys, totes…  Along the way members will get to explore their own sewing machine and how to keep it running in top shape and troubleshoot problems.  They will learn sewing terms, techniques, how to follow sewing instructions and lots more.

Sew Easy Project manual will not be relevant for this project
