This Sewing Beginner Project is your opportunity to learn sewing basics in a fun and welcoming environment. You’ll learn how to use a sewing machine and complete a sewing project. Sewing machines will be supplied and shared with members, all sewing will be completed during 4-H meetings. The first meeting will be an evening planning meeting (mid-late April). Then we are thinking 3-4 afternoon meetings which will be on Saturday’s and/or Sunday’s. It is hoped that the club sewing will be completion by the end of June. The final meeting will be completing the 4-H display for the club achievement at the Paisley Fair on Sept 10, 2023. If there is a suitable class, 4-H members will be encouraged to submit their completed sewing project as an exhibit at the fair. Location of the meetings will be in Pinkerton, ON. Depending on interest and experience, actual meeting dates will be confirmed at planning meeting. In this club you will learn sewing machine basics, how to choose fabrics, etc.
The work and learning in this club project may vary from the project manual.
