No matter what we call it – soil, earth, dirt – it’s one of the world’s most basic and important natural resources. Every day we step on it, build on it and produce food from it, and we do most of these things without giving it much thought.
So come get Loyal to the Soil as you learn how it’s made, how we grow crops in it and some practical ways to keep it where it belongs.
In this project, you’ll learn:
- Facts about soil and water conservation relating to agriculture in Ontario
- How to properly manage soils to reduce loss and deterioration
- How to recognize a soil erosion problem and figure out what action is needed
