South Simcoe Crops Club will be starting up in the spring. This years focus will be on Field Corn. We will meet from April to September and each meeting will focus on an aspect of field corn production: planting, pest control, fertility, harvest, end uses etc.
Members will grow their own corn plants (either in a field or in their yard or in a container). We will learn about corn physiology at each meeting also.
Achievement Day will be exhibiting their corn at the Fall Fair (Beeton or GNE)
Meetings will be in person throughout South Simcoe

4-H Field Crops – Species & Management
This project provides a great intro to Ontario field crops (like corn, wheat, oats). By the end, you’ll be able to grow your very own crops and identify crop species with your eyes closed!
