Exciting Announcements!

There is a great deal of activity happening at 4-H Ontario this month, which lends itself to plenty of exciting announcements! Arbor Award Recipients

4-H Ontario is honored to share the 2013 recipients of the most prestigious volunteer recognition award offered by 4-H Ontario: the Syngenta 4-H Ontario Arbor Award. The recipients will be honored and presented their award at the Syngenta 4-H Ontario Arbor Awards banquet which takes place during the 4-H Ontario Volunteer Conference and Annual Meeting. 2013 Ambassadors

On February 15, this year's 4-H Ontario Ambassadors were welcomed in to their new roles at the Ambassador reception. Over the course of 2013, the Ambassadors will be travelling the province promoting the 4-H program. Ambassadors represent 4-H Ontario at a variety of 4-H events (both provincial, local and regional) as well as events outside of the traditional 4-H realm. Meet his year's Ambassadors >

Amber Underwood Winners
The Amber Underwood Memorial News Competition is an opportunity for 4-H'rs to showcase their writing and journalism skills. Congratulations to our senior winner, Jackie Shaw and junior winner, Ariana Tersteege. Read their entires here >
Dairy Sense

Membership Fees
John den Haan, President of the Ontario 4-H Council announced that the Ontario 4-H Council Board of Directors voted to maintain membership fees with no increase in 2015, the 100th anniversary of 4-H in Ontario. Full details are available here >
Volunteer Symposiums
Volunteer Symposiums are an amazing opportunity to meet and network with volunteers from across your 4-H region, and develop your volunteer skill set. Each Symposium features a variety of workshops and round table discussions with topics that were selected by volunteers. Register now >
Early Bird Winners
Tickets are still available for the March 24 Dream Dinner Lottery fina draws. The grand prize features dinner for two anywhere in the world, the second place prize features dining anywhere in Canada, while the third place prize features an overnight stay in Ontario. More info >
Farm Management Canada
The Farm Management Canada Excellence Award for Ag Students scholarship deadline is February 28. This award is designed to help students develop their communication skills by having the opportunity to voice their opinion on a on a subject related to farm management. More info >
