ROCKWOOD, ONT. (June 22, 2022) – In April 4-H Ontario was awarded a $150,000 Resilient Communities Fund grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to support the research, development and implementation of a participant recruitment strategy. The participant recruitment strategy will help 4-H Ontario engage with new youth and volunteers across the province and support the growth of the organization post-pandemic.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation,” says Christine Oldfield, Executive Director, 4-H Ontario. “4-H Ontario can now create a participant recruitment strategy that will allow us to engage more youth and volunteers across Ontario and support the organization for many years to come.”
The strategy will be created by April 2023 and includes an extensive research phase that will be used to gather information from youth, volunteers and families of all backgrounds to support the development and implementation of the plan. A portion of funds from this grant will also be used to enhance the current database software, bettering the 4-H experience for all youth and volunteers.

4-H Ontario is a non-profit positive youth development organization that builds youth as leaders within their communities and assets to the world.
