The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed the way our 4-H Ontario programming looks this year.  4-H Ontario is committed to the positive development of young people so that they may become contributing citizens in their communities. For youth, it is beneficial to provide support and structure in times of change and challenge.

Sewing 4-H Club hosted by Oxford

Club Description: This is a combination online and virtual club. Members will make themselves an article of clothing: first time sewing – pj pants from woven cotton or flannel; next step – using knit fabric (cotton jersey preferred but fleece is acceptable) – t-shirt, pullover sweater, jogging pants or leggings.

This club is based on the Ontario project “Sew Easy” with additional information shared both via email and virtual meetings held over ZOOM. Basic sewing machine maintenance is also covered.

Club Description: Rabbit jumping started in Sweden early in the 1970s, when the first rabbit club started to arrange rabbit jumping competitions. This year would be a virtual learning space to train the rabbits for possible future competitions post-COVID.

Club Description: A whole project dedicated to potatoes? You bet. This versatile vegetable is so much more than French fries (but don’t worry, we love French fries). The Potato Project will teach you everything about potatoes from their rich history, to potato varieties and how to grow and prepare them.
