Citizenship Congress will deepen your understanding of civic engagement, governance and public policy, parliamentary procedures, citizenship, and politics. This conference creates opportunities for you to network and learn from experts on governance and civic engagement while building your research skills, communication skills, and your knowledge on parliamentary procedure. Workshops and preparation sessions will culminate with the annual debate where you and your fellow 4-H’ers from across Canada will construct insightful arguments and practice your skills of persuasion and public speaking. You’ll leave Citizenship Congress having learned more about Canada, its government, and yourself.

First offered in 1931, 4-H Canada’s Members Forum is our longest-running program. Through experiential learning, workshops and interactive activities, you will develop a deeper awareness, knowledge and understanding of what it means to positively impact the environment and healthy living. You’ll leave feeling energized and equipped to apply new knowledge and skills to club projects in your community, and maybe even discover new career paths to explore or pursue.

Careers on the Grow is a career exploration program where you can explore career paths, apply your skills, and gain hands-on work experience. Being part of your 4-H club prepares you for your future career by learning decision-making, communication, and leadership skills – which are in demand in today’s workplace. Through Careers on the Grow, you can put these skills to work and grow them further through internship placements, networking, mentorship opportunities, and career exploration resources. As part of this program there are internship opportunities, e-mentorships, virtual workshops and career readiness learning modules.

It’s back for a second year! The Impact Conference is where 4-H participants, ages 14-21 from across the province, are nominated by their home associations to attend a three-day conference. Participants will learn about careers, volunteering and making a difference in their communities. It will be filled with learning opportunities, a chance to network and make lasting connection with like-minded individuals. The Impact Conference aims to educate, inspire and empower the future generation of leaders by providing them with the knowledge and resources necessary to pursue their chosen career path, and create a positive lasting impact within their club, community, country and world!

Cost: $225 +HST
Who can attend: This conference is open to all 4-H participants aged 14-21 (prior to Jan. 1, 2024) who have completed a minimum of 6 clubs and are actively involved in 4-H and their community.
Registration deadline: July 15, 2024 (associations must submit delegate names to 4-H Ontario by end of day)
