New club for 2022. This club has completed the 2022 season. This club had its achievement day at the Beeton Fair.

Members in the field at a meeting

Species & Management Project will provide you with general knowledge on crop management and introduce you to scientific, technological and environmental factors that can influence crop production.

In this project, you’ll learn:

  • The basics of Ontario field crop species and production techniques
  • How to identify plants and seeds of the commonly grown crops in Ontario
  • How to market field crops
  • Problem-solving, judging, communication and leaderships skills

First meeting: May 17th

Second meeting: June 21st

Third meeting: July 19th

Fourth meeting: August 9th

Fifth meeting: August 24th

Sixth meeting: September 20th

Seventh meeting: October 11th

Oct 11 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Age Range:9-21 years of age as of December 31, 2021. Members will need to have paid their membership fee, complete all required forms, participate in a minimum of 2/3 hours of meeting time, participate in the County Judging Competition and participate in the club Achievement day program. You will need technology and internet connection. This club will meet once a month starting online and moving to in person once able to do this safely. No previous experience required. Members will need a notebook.
