Arran-Tara 4-H Dairy Calf Club

The Arran-Tara Dairy Calf Club welcomes members ages 9 to 21 as of January 1, 2024.  The club explores important topics related to calves including selecting 4-H project animals, raising the calves, training calves for showing, along with clipping and fitting them in preparation for the show.   Meetings also include topics and learning activities related to farming and the dairy industry.  Members are to attend the 4-H Achievement day Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Paisley Fall Fair as part of completion of the project.

The club will meet between April and August 2024 prior to the achievement day in September.   Meetings may be held weekday evenings, or during the day throughout the summer or weekends through mutual agreement of the club members and their parents/guardians.

Youth Leader opportunity is available for qualifying members.  Additional 4-H leaders welcome.

Register  before April 1, 2024 to receive a registration rebate of 50% of the provincial registration fee.  Pay the full provincial fee to later receive an e-transfer rebate from Bruce County 4-H with thanks to the support of Robert’s Farm Equipment.

4-H membership must be confirmed prior to May 15, 2024 to be part of the club.  Members are welcome to attend the first meeting prior to requesting a provincial membership.   The 4-H membership fee allows members to participate in other clubs, activities and 4-H opportunities within the 2024 calendar year.
