Russell County 4-H clubs are for youth 9-21 years of age on January 1 of the year.
Meeting 1 – May 23 7:00-9:30 St. Albert
Meeting 2 June 8 10:30-2:00 Russell
Meeting 3 July 8 7:30 – 9:30 pm St. Pascale-Bayon
Meeting 4 TBD week of August 19-23 Central Experimental farm
Russell Judging day July 27 10:30 – 2:30
Achievement day August 10 Navan Fair
If interested in being part of the Russell County Calf Club please send an email to abbiemedwell@hotmail.com by May 18 and provide name, age and e-mail.
Once confirmed in the club, please register at https://4-hontario.ca/association/russell-4-h-association/, and pay the $100 annual provincial fee by May 23, 2023 if not already paid for the year.
Members must attend 75% of the meetings, attend a judging day and achievement day to obtain club credit
Dairy Project
Dairy: it’s more than milk! This project will teach you the ins and outs of a successful dairy operation, covering the basics like animal care, plus the latest dairy farming tools and practices.
