Sault Ste. Marie 4-H Community Garden Club

Enjoy planting and tending to two vegetable garden plots over the summer.  Participants will bring home the bounty from the garden as it ripens.  Surplus produce will go to the Sault Soup Kitchen.

When the gardening is done for the day, the youth will play outdoor games for the A Sporting Chance: Something Different project.

The length of these projects is extra long to account for vacations and rainy days.  We understand that some meetings will be missed because of family vacations.

Membership also allows participation in online projects, science fair, trivia contest, Discovery Day, weekend camp, Club travel and exchange, career and leadership weekends, and other in-person projects for the rest of the calendar year.

Community service hours can be earned by high school students.  Scholarships are available for students heading off to college or university.

Note: these projects depend on having at least two screened and trained adult volunteer leaders and at least six youth members.
