Leading an active and healthy lifestyle is easier than you might think – and studies show those who do are happier, smarter and have more energy!
In the Fitness and Health P.L.A.Y. Project, we’ll tackle important topics like self-esteem, bullying, eating disorders and fad diets while also teaching you about beauty in other cultures, how to eat well and exercise and much more.
In this project, you’ll:
- Try a variety of different sports and activities
- Learn about sport-related injuries and the effects of stress and smoking on health
- Learn the importance of healthy eating habits and how to develop a meal plan
- Gain an appreciation and acceptance of who you are

Fit Tip
If you are too breathless to talk while exercising, you’re working out too hard. But if you can sing or carry on a conversation while exercising, you’re not working hard enough. Learn about living a healthy active lifestyle in this 4-H project!
