2022 is the 50th anniversary of Citizenship Congress!
Citizenship Congress will deepen your understanding of civic engagement, governance and public policy, parliamentary procedures, citizenship, and politics. This conference creates opportunities for you to network and learn from experts on governance and civic engagement while building your research skills, communication skills, and your knowledge on parliamentary procedure.
Workshops and preparation sessions will culminate with the annual debate where you and your fellow 4-H’ers from across Canada will construct insightful arguments, and practice your skills of persuasion and public speaking. You’ll leave Citizenship Congress having learned more about Canada, its government, and yourself.
We are excited for Citizenship Congress to return to Ottawa from May 3-8, 2022! As with all of 4-H Canada’s programs set for in-person delivery in 2022, Citizenship Congress planning includes the ongoing review of COVID-19 safety measures to follow the most up-to-date information from public health authorities.
