Brant 4-H Agriculture Awareness – Farm Tours Club

PLEASE NOTE THIS CLUB IS FULL.

AGRICULTURE AWARENESS – Farm Tours     – in person (introductory meeting virtual)

The club will tour 5 farms in Brant County to learn about agriculture in the area.

This club will include an introductory Zoom meeting and 5 on-farm tours. Any member not in high school will need an accompanying parent on the farm tours. Proper biosecurity will also need to be followed before, during and after each farm tour (we will discuss this at the Zoom meeting and will provide necessary equipment). You will need arrange your own transportation to the farms we visit.

Meeting Dates: 2nd Saturday of the month – May, June, July & August; 1 month will have an additional tour to avoid a having a tour in September; Introductory Zoom meeting: Saturday, May 4 @ 1 -pm

1st in person Meeting – Saturday, May 11th; 1 pm – 3 pm

Meeting Times:  1 pm – 3 pm

Locations: various farms in Brant County

Achievement:  create a poster for listing facts about a type of farming done in Brant County. The posters will be displayed at the Burford Fair on Thanksgiving weekend and be a part of our Exhibit Board at Paris Fair.
